Gosh, I love this dip. We sometimes eat it as the main course for dinner with chips and veggies. It’s such as easy dip recipe to make and truly a family-favorite.
This layered Mexican dip makes a great easy weeknight meal, but it’s an even better crowd-pleaser. We never go without it on Superbowl Sunday! And we certainly don’t intend to go without it this year, either!
Our menu is pretty simple: a soup (chili), a meat (hot wings), a dip (this one!), chips/crackers, a fruit and veggie tray, and a dessert! Such a simple party menu!
I enjoy making slightly different variations of this dip, so it’s absolutely modifiable based on your family’s preferences.
For this layered Mexican dip recipe, I’ve added a couple secret ingredients. And I’m clueing you in! The first: taco seasoning in the sour cream. The second: homemade guacamole.
You can make this layered dip recipe ahead of time OR you can make it in just 5-10 minutes right before you serve it!
